I emigrated from South Africa to New Zealand twenty-four years ago with my family, and have since developed a deep appreciation for the country’s rich cultural diversity and the way holistic healthcare is shaped by these values. As a New Zealand-trained registered nurse, I bring extensive experience across mental health, emergency departments, general practice, aged care, and nursing management.

My commitment is to ensure that Awanui Resthome and Dementia Care delivers exceptional, person-centred, and culturally safe care. I am proud to lead a dedicated team whose compassion and professionalism create an environment that truly feels like home for both residents and staff. My motivation stems from my family—my wife, children, and grandchildren—who inspire my ongoing dedication to helping others and fostering a supportive, loving community.
